Jodie Foster hit the red carpet on April 5 with a surprise appearance from her son Christopher “Kit” Foster.
Three months after winning a Golden Globe for “True Detective: Night Country,” Jodie Foster walked the red carpet with Kit, who wore a navy blue suit with a polka dot bow tie. Jodie Foster sported a white sleeveless dress with suit-like styling as she posed next to her son for the paparazzi.
In a previous interview with Net-a-Porter in 2018, Jodie Foster described Kit as a “hyper-focused scientist.”

The actress, 62, has two sons: Kit Foster, 23, and Charles “Charlie” Bernard Foster, 26. While her kids stay mostly out of the public eye, Charlie Foster got attention when he supported his mom from the audience during Jodie Foster’s appearance on “The Tonight Show“ on Jan. 18, 2024.
Charlie Foster is a self-proclaimed “theater geek” according to the Yale College Arts website, where he shared, “I write and improvise and I hope I’m funny.”
While Charlie is following in his mom's footsteps, Jodie Foster revealed in an interview that Kit has no interest in acting.
“My younger son is really shy and I can promise you he will never be an actor,” she told the Guardian in a 2018 interview.

Charlie Foster also made an appearance this year at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild awards, joining his mom on Feb. 23 for another nomination for “True Detective: Night Country.”
Foster thanked her sons during her acceptance speech for her Golden Globe for best performance by a female actor in a limited series, anthology series or a motion picture made for television.

“Kit, my scientist son, and Charlie, my actor son, who’s starting his career, hopefully you understand the joy, such joy, that comes from doing really hard, meaningful, good work. So my boys, I love you, and this, of course, is for you.”
